Charnwood Indoor Bowls Club

The Charnwood Indoor Bowls Centre was opened
by H.R.H Diana Princess of Wales on the 24th April 1990.

We are located in the middle of Loughborough alongside the towns Leisure Centre
and have a shared municipal car park outside the front entrance.
We are a members club and daily tasks are carried out by the membership for the membership. Any profit made by the club is used for maintenance and improvement of club facilities.

First year membership is only £25 and rink fees are presently £2.70p for a 2 hour session at members rate. Non members pay £5.00p.We have 344 men and 171 women members.
Our Winter Leagues run from mid September through to mid April and comprise of 11 leagues and 115 teams. League bowling takes place Monday through to Friday in 2-hour sessions with casual bowling allowed if rinks are free.
Separate 2-hour sessions are available for casual bowling when leagues are not playing. Our weekends include friendly club matches and, at a slightly higher level, Interclub competition against other Indoor clubs in Leicestershire. Sunday mornings are allocated to coaching and casual bowling.
As well as an excellent 8 rink bowling facility we have a function room / members bar and well-equipped professional kitchen.
Loughborough is an East Midlands University town with a population of approximately 170,000 people and it is the largest settlement in Leicestershire outside the city of Leicester.
It is well served by rail links to London St Pancras International by a half hourly service. Its railway station has recently been redeveloped with extended platforms and better access.
The M1 motorway and junction 23 is just to the west of Loughborough giving the town excellent access to the north and south of the country.
